WILL BE OPEN TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC THIS DECEMBER!!!

*::UNKNOWN PLEASURES::*

👑 TOKYO IMPERIAL PALACE 🏯

Imperial Palace’s Inui Street

Opened to Public on Dec. 2-10

That's right!!!!

Around two, three weeks ago the Imperial Household Agency
decided the Inui Street (that runs through the Tokyo Imperial Palace)
will open to the public on December 2-10!!

The times for this even is 10am~2:30pm!
A close acquaintance that works at the palace
told us that during this time
there are CRAZY amounts of people!
So we advise to keep that in mind!
Really in this case,
(arriving) the earlier the better!

Also!!!
There is only once entrance!
And that is at the Sakashita-mon Gate!

Once you enter the Sakashita-mon Gate,
you will be able to talk through Inui Street
and pass the Imperial Household office building!
Unfortunetly,
this is all a one-way course.
You won't be able to go back through the Sakashita-mon Gate.
Enter the Sakashita-mon Gate.
Exit from the Inui-mon Gate.

Why is this such a big deal?!

This whole event started back in 2014
as a celebration of Emperor Akihito's 80th birthday🎂✨
It grew massive attention and popularity
and ever since then the Imperial Household Agency
decided to open this area to the public regularly.

Obviously,

the general public don't have access to the palace grounds
besides the outside park area.

But thanks to this event,
people now have access twice a year!

This road that runs from the Sakashita-mon Gate
to the Inui-mon Gate,
is open during what is said to be the best times
to see cherry blossoms and fall leaves.
Now is perfect timing for those
who might have missed seeing Japan's beautiful
fall colors or if they simply crave more!
Another reason why now is such a big deal
is because it's the first time in one and a half years
to hold this event.
Up until now the area has been under construction.

Things to Keep in Mind Before Going!

🔱
Expect a crowd!
💂Expect to not be allowed to use selfie sticks and tripods
(they have the right to ask you to leave)
👑Unless they're assistance animals, animals aren't allowed
🏯No eating, drinking, smoking inside palace grounds
(they have the right to ask you to leave)

Afterwards
The surrounding park and area of the palace grounds is simply beautiful.
So we recommend you not stop your visit there!
Make the best of such a rare experience
and explore it!
The palace grounds are massive,
you are likely to discover a place you may have never seen before.
