01. Natural Tonkotsu Ramen Shop - Ichiran


This famous ramen shop is originally from Fukuoka. It is also the top 5 ramen shops in Japan! Before you get to your seat, staff will give you a piece of paper to choose how you would like the ramen to be cooked. From the richness of the soup, the texture of noodles to the toppings of the ramen, you can tell your preference to the shop to make you the perfect ramen just for you! (English menu is available!)


There is another special feature of Ichiran which is their seat! You can find partitions on both sides, so you can have a private space to enjoy your ramen!


Once your ramen is ready, staff will pass you the ramen from behind the curtain in front of your seat! No eye contact is needed! A very private moment!

02. DARUMANOME in Akihabara


Another famous Tonkotsu ramen shop in Tokyo must be DARUMANOME! 

In the picture above is their most popular ramen, DARUMA Ramen! Just taste the rich pork bone based soup, you can understand why this is always the most popular item of the shop!

03. Tokyo Ramen Show 2016


Since 2009, this ramen event is held in Tokyo every year to promote the "Tourism" "Food Education" and "Food Culture" of Japan. In this event, you can taste at least 36 local ramen from different regions of Japan!

Event mascot: Naruto Chan
This year, the ramen show will be divided into two parts. The first part is from 27 Oct to 1 Nov and the second part is from 2 Nov to 6 Nov.








In Part I, you can find this chicken soup ramen from Kyoto.















In Part II, you can try another special ramen which is known as the BLACK Ramen from Toyama Prefecture.
